Pierre Guillaume Paris - PG13 - Brulûre de Rose
Family: Oriental, woody, floral
This fragrance features Brazilian rosewood, amber, musk, raspberry, vanilla, cacao and rose. It is an interpretation of an oriental gourmand rose. Brûlure de Rose brilliantly captures all points on the life cycle of a Bulgarian rose, from the fresh, green, almost lemony aroma of a freshly-picked rose bud, to the velvety succulence of the full rose in bloom in the heart, and finally, to the earthy, chocolatey, spicy aroma of rose petals wilting and falling to the damp ground beneath.
WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE
The rose at the center of Brûlure de Rose goes through a metamorphosis over the course of this ever-evolving scent. At first, raspberry and lychee creates a fruity, almost metallic jam with the tender green rosebuds, and then the rose is deepened by dark cocoa powder, and allowed to become sultry. The rose then becomes powdery, as if the rose petals are beginning to desiccate and crumble away - these are finally laid to rest on a cream sandalwood and vanilla base that many compare to crème brulee. A deep, gourmand rose to fall in love with!
