The gentle and yet intoxicating chords of a sandalwood instrument sing out clearly, softened around the flanks by wistful floral notes, chief among them the grey, powdery, and refined tones of a very fine orris butter. The result is warm and full-bodied, but with a chill backbone of iris that keeps the sweetness in check.
