When they visited this delightful seaside town with its timeless flair, characterised by charm and freedom, they immediately found inspiration in the cheerful, lively character of the seaside resort.

Saint-Tropez is a fascinating throwback to the golden age of the 1960s, when the Riviera lifestyle emerged. At that time, the Italian and French Rivieras were the scene of an extraordinary cultural transformation. The playboys known as Les Italiens began their triumphal march ‘barefoot, in jeans and with windblown hair’. This image symbolises the challenging appearance and the desire for freedom of the time. A young generation conquered the Riviera with audacity and a free spirit. They lived a way of life that focussed on relaxation and pleasure. A blazing fire of passion burnt within them, which they lived out intensely at every moment.
