With Fantosmia, Jorum Studios dedicates itself to a fantastically surreal combination of nature and technology. In a fragrance whose inspiration lies solely in the perfumer's imagination, artificial intelligence meets natural phenomena without referring to physical foundations. As a barely tangible olfactory phantom, the sounds of Fantosmia met Euan McCall, accompanied his everyday life and fascinated him in their peculiar, elusive way. The resonance of these mysterious nuances led him to investigate the nature of the fragrance, and so the actual Fantosmia was created as a recreated equivalent of this fascination.
The fragrance
With its barely tangible nuances, Fantosmia forms a futuristic fragrance impression. Sculptural like the smooth, cool surface of a gemstone, yet volatile like liquid mercury, its temperature seems to adapt to its surroundings. Neither transparent nor opaque, Fantosmia floats in its own spheres, uniting fine spicy notes with mystical sisho leaves and embedding them alongside mate sounds and nutmeg on synthetic castoreum and dark tobacco notes. With diffuse elegance, a fragrance sound is formed whose impression treads surreal and addictive alien worlds. Like all Jorum Studios fragrances, Fantosmia is handcrafted in Scotland. Its sculptural flacon bears witness to simple elegance and underlines the impressive character of this special fragrance.
