An olfactory setting of the poetic verse sequence "Astrophel and Stella", written by Sir Philip Sidney in 16th century Elizabethan England, Absent Presence epitomises the unfulfilled love of the hopelessly yearning protagonist. Absent Presence forms the concluding fifth part of the Revenants collection of Beaufort London. Dark and enveloping, the waves of its composition take hold of the senses, intensifying with every breath.

The first sounds of Absent Presence unfold intoxicatingly as a finely tuned interplay of citrusy bergamot notes, the balsamic, woody sound of galbanum and gracefully accentuating pepper spiciness. Sensual flowers intoxicate at the centre of the composition with a hypnotic effect. Sweet and heavy, jasmine and violet rest on the elegantly composed foundation of Absent Presence, which is composed of tart leather notes and golden amber over velvety sandalwood tones, striking cedarwood and a seductive hint of musk that emphasises the mystical essence of Absent Presence shrouded in darkness. An extravagant white sketch adorns the dark flacon in the classic Beaufort London style.
