Now captured in a bottle as red as a blood moon, Spirito Fiorentino opens with a graceful bouquet of flowers, purple lily (the symbol of Florence), and jasmine, all wrapped in the leathery suede of Italian saffron and the freshness of the winter oranges budding on the trees lining the historic streets.

Both rich and fresh, the citrus-kissed florals and spice are embedded deep within a buttery, cold-cream ylang ylang and lemony-cream magnolia, florals that seem to be half honey, half freshly-cut citrus fruit. Warmed from beneath by a salty, mineral ambergris note, the impression is one both of freshness and of sultriness. The crunchy white-green sweetness of muguet adds a powdery innocence. Musks and precious sandalwood form the base, deepened with the leathery smokiness of birch tar for a sense of mystery and darkness. Tuscan leather is enriched with a salty oakmoss and a resinous amber for the final, rather masculine taste in this splendid concoction.
