Wie im gleichnamigen Roman von Julien Gracq geht es bei diesem Duft um das Spannungsfeld zwischen Schicksal und Zufall, Nähe und Ferne, eine ungewisse Zukunft und das Erbe einer glorreichen Vergangenheit - alles vor der traumhaften Kulisse der nordafrikanischen Küste.
Frisch beginnt der Duft uns mit Ananas und Orange zu umschmeicheln, während die Strahlkraft von Tuberose eingerahmt wird von Orangenblüte und Ylang-Ylang. Weihrauch dunkelt das Bild ein wenig ab, während Ambra, Vanille und Moschus in der Basis alles zusammenhalten - wie eine Metapher für die menschliche Existenz, die mal zwischen Extremen taumelnd, mal fest in sich ruhend ihren Platz in einem unberechenbaren Universum sucht.
