Clive Christian - Noble Collection - VII - Cosmos Flower
Originally native to Mexico, the Cosmos Flower was introduced to the gardens of Queen Anne as a sort of annual exotic, to be grown mostly in the large hothouses of wealthy, landed gentry in the 18th century, where exotic plants, fruits, and flowers were very fashionable.
Cosmos Flower the fragrance is a fervently feminine but also complex composition featuring fruit and flowers, with an undercurrent of dark bitter cocoa in a nod to the Cosmos Flower's Mexican heritage. It is a modern, fruity, creamy gourmand perfume.
Pink peppercorn and aromatic rum open the fragrance, creating a pleasantly boozy, spicy, and peppery impression. The heart features rich notes of plum, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and osmanthus melting together in a veritable cornucopia of fruits and flowers, shot through with a bitter cocoa chaser that will have you licking your lips in appreciation. The dark cocoa note forms a bridge to a thick, oriental base crowded with sweet resins, caramel, amber, and leather. A delicious treat that won't add pounds to your hips, we say, lovers of all things gourmand, run, don't walk!
"It gives me great pleasure to announce the exclusive Noble Collection. Noble VII celebrates the splendor of the era of Queen Anne and is inspired by the richness and variety of a garden close to my heart. These exquisite, absolutely extraordinary scents exude the nobility of one of the most brilliant periods in the history of Britain."
