Zoologist - Hyrax
A family of marmoset-like hyrax cautiously venture out from between craggy crevices. Their species has adapted to different habitats over thousands of years and inhabits the African continent as cliff, bush or tree hyrax. Now the colony gathers for a sunbath on the heated plateau. The shimmering hot sun stands over the sparsely overgrown plain and warms the hyrax’s light brown fur. But despite the supposedly relaxed atmosphere, they always remain on guard; if the shadow of a bird of prey appears, their shrill warning signal sounds and they disappear in a flash into the shelter of the rocks.
The fragrance:
Animalic, exotic sounds, spicy notes and floral accents combine in Zoologists Hyrax to create an extraordinary fragrance. Elemi, saffron and pink pepper entwine around its rose opening. Hyraceum, the African stone, determines Hyrax's heart note with its extraordinary aromas, accompanied by hyacinth, styrax and whiskey. From its notes emerges the image of primordial vegetation sprouting in the heat of Africa, united with wild sounds of animal origin. Castoreum and civet form the basis of this complex composition alongside the golden-soft sounds of amber and sandalwood, tonka and patchouli. Hyrax's classic Zoologist flacon is adorned with an elaborate, anthropomorphic drawing of a hyrax.
