Björk and Berries - Mareld
A ghostly glow glimmers beneath the surface of the dark tides. The source of fantastic legends and mystical speculation, this natural spectacle bears the ancient Scandinavian name Mareld: sea fire. The eponymous perfume Björk and Berries is dedicated to this phenomenon caused by bioluminescent plankton and evokes a chilly swim in the waves of the night sea filled with an unreal glow. The coldness of the water envelops the body and mind, clearing the thoughts and, combined with salty notes and the unmistakable impression of seaweed, evokes the image of a seemingly unreal night on the Scandinavian coast.
The scent:
As if stars had descended into the night waves, Mareld glows with fabled, magical sounds. Björk and Berries dedicates its creations to Sweden's unique nature and the myths associated with it. Using exquisite ingredients, the majority of which are of natural origin, they create perfumes that not only quote Sweden's nature, but actually come from it. Mareld's opening is characterised by the sounds of a salty fig and cool eucalyptus notes, contrasted by the warm, citrusy tones of bergamot. Its initially delicate navy touch intensifies into rushing marine notes in the centre of the fragrance. Mimosa and green violet accompany it, dampening the boisterous salt accord and leading to warm tonka wood, sage and seaweed - a base that unites Mareld's notes into a hypnotic image of the stormy sea, creating an olfactory experience of nature.
