Memo Paris - Cuirs Nomades - Moroccan Leather
Moroccan Leather is Memo Paris' latest entry in the brand's Cuirs Nomades series - a collection of leather perfumes that take exotic travel destinations as their inspiration. Moroccan Leather is a spicy, oily leather that traces the shape of exotic smells wafting from a Moroccan souk - the scent of freshly cured leather, precious oils and attars, the zesty punch of ginger and galangal root, the powdery scent of suede jackets piled high, and the rich, resinous warmth of healing balsams brought from far and near to market. Through this heady mélange comes the sweet, buttery smell of ylang and orange blossom, as if merchants carrying huge baskets of newly-opened flowers had just placed them under a heat lamp to coax their petals open.
"Slender blue palm trees sway in the musky wind, as oil of vetiver stirs under a canopy of white flowers. Swallows wildly sweep across the leather, skimming over the ground. They follow an apogee of iris, beneath a shower of ylang-ylang. Fragrances waft through the tiny streets offering a glimpse of orange trees blooming through the ramparts. A burnous cloak of amaranthus makes its way along a path of pepper and ginger to the medina gates, where cypresses stand guard before the exquisite ogival arches and arabesque doorways. An indigo city, an imperial city, an ancient city looms like a mirage of leathery iris: Moroccan Leather." A note from the brand.
