...an enveloping fragrance reaches us with an aromatic message for a new season, revealing the intensity and subtlety of an air that has blown over newly opened flower buds.  Peace thus also has a perfume of its own: in the same way that everything in life has its own unmistakable perfume.
 

The Umberto Veronesi Foundation thought of this when, after a meeting that didn?t happen by chance with Celso Fadelli, it set off on a voyage that ended with four essences, inspired by the gifts of meditation, and as many winds and breezes that embrace our planet. The intention is to give substance and immediate perceptibility and recognisability to Peace, since ?Science is a wind that allows goodness, dignity and quality of life to develop,? all of which can only produce Peace. For Peace is the highest product of Knowledge and Learning.

Perfumes of freedom, encapsulated in a bottle designed and produced by Simone Micheli, to set life free from the slavery of ignorance and suffering. It is a story that has its beginning with the four winds that
gust around the world, four perfumes comprising rare essences. They remind us of how sacred the beauty of Learning and the desire for Peace are, an invisible remembrance of beauty and hope. A delicate
reminder for a sacred offering to life, with precious extracts of flowers, woods and fruits. They bring life to these four essences which stir the heart, like a wind, so that the heart will produce a fragrant beauty of
Peace. The intention of this collection is to support this message, knowing how important to Science is the essence of Peace.

The Umberto Veronesi Foundation

The Umberto Veronesi Foundation was set up in 2003 to support scientific research by giving research grants for doctors and researchers, and to assist high profile projects. Its promoters include six Nobel prize-winners who also make up its Committee of Honour, and their work has been recognized at international level. The Foundation is also active in scientific communication, so that the scientific results and discoveries become accessible to everybody though major conferences with speakers of international renown, educational projects, awareness campaigns and publications.

Science for Peace

'Science for Peace' is an ambitious project which, to achieve its objective, interacts with the educational world, with research organizations ? both public and private ? and with the world of information. Science for Peace was established on the initiative of Professor Umberto Veronesi to propose and carry out scientific solutions for peace. Prof. Umberto Veronesi?s appeal has been endorsed by at least 21 Nobel prize-winners, as well as by scientists from throughout the world and leading international personalities. The S4P project seeks to help in achieving two major objectives: first, in spreading a culture of peace and resolving tensions between states, and second, in gradually reducing nuclear weapons and military spending in favour of greater investments in research and development.
