The fragrance
The fragrance opens with a nature-inspired accord of grass and flowers, fresh and dishevelled after a heavy downpour. The initial scent tingles with ozone and electricity, with hyacinth gaining prominent attention, accompanied by a green, almost bitter artemisia. Soon after, the intensely sensual ylang ylang unfolds, rising from the grass, ripe with banana aroma and leathery indole. But the damp, almost tropical scent of ylang ylang is balanced by the bright, peppery patchouli, and together they create a light, raw leathery tone interspersed with mint leaves and aniseed.
The patchouli and ylang-ylang combination is less earthy or sweet, more cool and herbal - effortlessly seductive in a natural, tousled way. Towards the end, a sweeter tone creeps in: Honey and resin give patchouli a warm and rounded note. In the finish, a hint of incense joins the honeyed patchouli and flowers, leaving everything to dry out in a silvery mist of smoke and ether.5r
